Tournament Overview
MLS and Liga MX announced the clubs participating in season six of the Leagues Cup, with the 2026 edition of the tournament running from August 4 through September 6. Keeping the change to the tournament field started last season, all 18 Liga MX clubs will participate with 18 of the 30 MLS teams also involved. MLS participation is based on the playoffs, with the top nine from each conference entering the tournament.
